Balram Chamaria

President | Principal
Balram Chamaria’s focus on service to client needs through elegant solutions and financial efficiency continues to be the central tenet of his leadership of B+AC. His deft steering permits accommodation for such needs while also respecting the laws of society, science, engineering and ethics. Before founding B+AC in 2014, Mr. Chamaria spent many years with numerous respected, international consulting powerhouses, amassing a broad, still-growing portfolio. The resulting accumulated proficiency has been a springboard for innovative elegance and client satisfaction.

Ather Khan

Project Engineer
Mr. Khan works with B+AC as a project engineer and team lead. Prior to joining B+AC, Mr. Khan spent time with several well-known international design firms in the Middle East and south Asia. His time was devoted to aspects of numerous mega-projects in infrastructure, residential, health care, universities, and airports. Later, while serving as project engineer in the greater New York City for several years, he designed and completed numerous multi-unit residential projects—principally wood frame but also steel frame and podium construction. A very strong and experienced engineer, Mr. Khan leads project design and CA for many of B+AC’s undertakings.

Nutsu Marina

Project Engineer
The foundation of Nutsu Maria’s career began as a teenager working in construction with his family. After five years’ experience in building, he redirected his focus toward engineering studies at the Moscow University of Environmental Engineering. Now settled in the United States, Nutsu has been an engineer for ten years and has spent considerable time teaching structural engineering as well. He has strong intuitive people-skills and a sensible, measured demeanor to compliment a very thorough approach to his work. And when he’s not laboring over drawings and code, he can found hiking in the wild areas of New England.

Anthony Padovano

Project Engineer
Anthony Padovano joined B+AC as a Project Engineer in 2015. Previously, Mr. Padovano had spent time in the realm of mechanical engineering as well as structural engineering, and had also worked with property managers and developers in the New England area. Anthony also volunteered in New Orleans, LA, rebuilding houses with Rebuilding Together for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. This range of experiences has given him access to several of the multiple perspectives that simultaneously co-exist on a single project. Able to wear-the-shoes-of-others, lends insight to his problem solving and design work. Anthony has also spent time spent time with construction firms in the roles of Project Manager, Project Supervisor, and Engineer.

Pawat Rithipreedanant

Project Engineer
Pawat Rithipreedanant is an exceptional young engineer who joined the B+AC ranks in 2020. With strong software skills in a number of drafting platforms, and languages, and analysis tools, Mr. Rithipreedanant brings a balanced blend of creative problem-solving skills and efficient and expeditious productivity. With colleagues and clients alike, he is a strong communicator, both linguistically and through the drawings alike. His capacity to capture complex big-pictures with concise and manageable order is beneficial to all who team with him. Already his body of work reflects a range of work from private to public, large to small scales, and with a range of materials including mass timber.

Steve Setterlun

Director of Operations and Projects
Steve Setterlun has been the Director of Operations and projects at B+AC since 2018. Current responsibilities include efforts to improve internal efficiency and standardization, review of external facing communications, integration of design with field viability, and equipping the B+AC team with the tools needed for high quality service. Previously, technical and project management skills were applied to custom fabrication for both the entertainment and technology industries for 23 years—working on telescopes that sit at the South pole, eleven Broadway productions, and more than 800 projects in between.

Yixiao Zhang

Project Engineer
With a master’s degree from the structural discipline of Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s civil engineering program, Yixiao has well over ten years’ experience in engineering. His focus is on structural analysis, design, BIM, and developing an FEM program to research structure properties such as microscopic fracture propagation. Prior to his tenure with B+AC, Yixiao spent nearly seven years applying his engineering skills to the needs of an overseas construction firm. He continues to enjoy exploring new technologies and approaches to solving challenges, and he brings an optimism and positive attitude to the team itself and client interface.
